Hi, I’m Caitlin—Interior Designer & Founder of Little Haven Interiors
As a professional Interior Designer for over 15 years, I’ve designed high-end interiors, working for both boutique firms and one of the largest design firms in the country. I’ve always believed that beautiful spaces should also be functional, welcoming, and designed to support the people who live in them. But it wasn’t until I was expecting my first baby that my perspective shifted in a big way.
As I began planning my daughter’s nursery, I realized how difficult it was to find furniture and decor that wasn’t just beautiful, but also made without toxic ingredients like formaldehyde and phthalates. The deeper I researched, the more I uncovered about hidden chemicals in mainstream baby products—cribs, rugs, paint, even mattresses. What should have been a joyful process quickly became overwhelming, and I knew I wasn’t the only parent feeling this way.
That experience stayed with me, and over the next 10 years, my passion for thoughtful design and low-toxin living continued to grow. Little Haven Interiors was born from the intersection of my professional design experience and my personal passion for low-toxin living. My aim is to help parents create nurseries that are as safe as they are beautiful, without the stress of endless research and dark rabbit holes.
I believe in balance over perfection when it comes to low-toxin living, and I don’t believe in scaring parents into feeling like every piece of furniture is a hidden threat. My goal is to make this process easier for you—to simplify the research, curate the best options, and help you create a nursery that is both safe and beautiful, while respecting your priorities and budget. Leaning into this knowledge should feel empowering, not overwhelming.
